Active, Therapeutic and Restorative Yoga
Incorporate the HastaPada with alignment and efficiency. A graceful style and pace to create ease and space, guided by breath and awareness during this informative workshop.

Meandering our way through PranaFlow®, you will be led through an integrative tapestry of weaving your practice with the HastaPada for Dancer, Pigeon, Bow, Bananassana, simple and intricate poses, abdominal cultivation, multi-layered shoulder, hip, quadriceps and heart opening sequences to familiarize you with the flow, kramas and efficiency of the HastaPada as a teaching tool, a transformational sadhana and the
brilliant play-full (lila) evolution of your practice.

This informational workshop can be an active practice and flow or  a combination of  active and restorative.

AS a RN, Polarity Therapist, Eternal Student, Dedicated Yoga Practitioner and PranaFlow Teacher I am interested in sharing therapeutic yoga for pelvic floor issues to encourage women to re-discover their fullest potential in feminine health, awareness, fertility and vitality.

In this 2-3 hour workshop we will delve into the anatomy, physiology, daily posturing, yoga postures (asana), proper breath-work (pranayama) and the exploration of each woman’s feminine divine nature to heal, nurture and cultivate an empowered pelvic floor.

Optional 2-day 2-3 hour workshop (for home work, deeper understanding and therapeutic benefits).

Before change is possible, you must be able to perceptually visualize, locate and access the muscles of the pelvic floor. Through this sacred journey you will discover, evaluate, soften, stretch, strengthen and exercise the various muscle groups of this fertile delta.

Incorporating a series of specific exercises and therapeutic yoga poses- followed by subtle experiential movements to alleviate pelvic floor conditions, including urinary incontinence and frequency, infertility, dysmenorrhea, pelvic pain and more; we will deepen our connection to core power, abdominal strength and stabilization. We will differentiate and refine Ashwini Mudra, Mula Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha, Ischial Bandha and their intimate relationship within your  physical yoga practice and the art of daily living.

Awaken your understanding of this often ignored area in a natural and comfortable atmosphere.

*Handouts are provided for clarification and continuity.

Bring your BFF’s, sisters, mothers and daughters. Although helpful, previous yoga experience is not required.

Delve into the unique characteristics of the 3 Doshas (constitutions) and theory of VATA, PITTA, and KAPHA;  the FIVE ELEMENTS- their attributes, and the interplay of each dosha's organic manifestation.

We will review the GUNAS (20 qualities) and learn the tenants of Ayurveda. The usefulness of knowing and applying Ayurveda within the time of day, seasons of the year, circle of life, yoga practices and integration within a healthy lifestyle will be discussed.
Ayurveda seeks health within the microcosm and macrocosm of our entire being uniting the physical, energetic and subtle bodies.

A review of the Energetic Chakra System, its importance in alignment for optimum well-being. An individual discovery of the specific nature within the Dosha's and how they relate to YOU, Yoga and Ayurveda.
Through nurturing individual AGNI (metabolism) we will ”Tend the Sacred Fire” of our body, mind, and
spirit to generate a state of equilibrium promoting health and wellness.
Long considered a sacred ritual and spiritual practice; Dinacharya (dally self care)  will be offered
and demonstrated to balance the three doshas (V-P-K).

Mostly Lecture and demonstration.

A journal,notebook, comfortable clothing and a bolster to sit on is encouraged.

This workshop may be customized according to your studio's needs.
